GWOGM was founded through “Not My Word but God’s Word Ministry” by the late Pastor John Watkins. After his passing, Sophia Cruz, then an evangelist, became interim leader and was later ordained by Pastor Harvey Kendrick. Despite challenges, Pastor Cruz remained committed to building a Christ-centered platform for believers to grow through Christian education. Welcomed by Rev. George M. Hurley at Glendale Baptist Church, GWOGM offers online and in-person ministries including Sunday School, worship services, Bible study, prayer meetings, and a Christian book club. The ministry also supports believers through outreach, visitation, and resources. Guided by the Holy Spirit, GWOGM is focused on living for God's glory and continuing to grow its community.
